Fall pregnant pics

I was debating on whether to get pregnancy pictures again with this baby. I knew if I didn't I would regret it, so we had them done. We went to Riverdale parkway and also got a few family pics in, which turned out great! I just knew this time I didn't want to show my bare belly! It looks a lot different with the second pregnancy! My outie is outrageous! Only 7 more weeks to go until our baby boy is here! Can't wait!!!

Grocery Smart!

Ever since I had Sienna I have only been working part-time as a nurse. It's a perfect balance of staying home with her but still keeping my nursing license and having adult conversations once in a while. I feel like I'm not missing out on seeing her grow up and I can still work and contribute to our household. Now that I've been making less money, I've been trying to find ways to make up for that paycheck. I have been saving money like crazy this past year! AND it's all thanks to the website Grocerysmarts.com.
What this website does is it gives you every store's weekly ads and rates them on a scale of 3 to 5 stars. The stores range from every grocery store to even Target and Walgreens. It then gives you a place that you can add coupons to the sales of the week and save even more money. There are Internet coupons but I use most of mine from the Sunday newspapers. I get 2 Sunday newspapers and often get my mom's and mother in laws coupons as well. That means I have at least 4 coupons to use on top of the sales. It's a great way to stock up on items that go on sale. For instance this past week I got razors from Smith's for $0.88 each! No joke! 4 Schick disposable razors with the 3 blades. Our favorite! Another example is at Riteaid a few weeks ago they had Huggies Pure and Natural diapers on sale. I got 4 packs of diapers (for the baby boy to come) for $12. They are usually $10 a piece. I get a little jolt of energy every time I walk out of the store and I know I just a got a HUGE deal!!! I have received many looks of cashiers like"How did you just do that?" You would think they would get this all time with Utah momma's trying to save a buck or two.
I had a "coupon saving" class in February and learned a great way to save on groceries and other things. I also follow about 3 different blogs that give you crazy deals on food, toiletries, diapers, toys, movies, restaurants, etc.
Before I used this website I used to shop at Walmart and sometimes Albertson's (Wal-marts meat and produce sometimes isn't that great.) Now that Albertson's is gone and the new Fresh Market is not that impressive to me, I have found the best deals to be at Smith's. According to my most recent receipt I have saved $1,115.74 this year just shopping at Smith's. (This does not include coupons that I use on top of that savings.) Not too bad for 10 months of groceries.
This past week my grand total of groceries was $148.49. I then gave the cashier my Smith's Value card and coupons to go with my items and my new total was $63.65! That saved me 60% on my groceries! I've done better, but this week felt awesome to walk away with 53 items and only pay $63 bucks! I saved $61.26 from my fresh values card and $23.55 in coupons. Plus I earned reward points which turn into cash later and I get fuel rewards too. I never thought Smith's would be the store I love to shop at.
I know this is a horrible picture of groceries but as you can see it is not all junk food I am buying. A few of the items I got---
Bananas eggs 5 Kraft cream cheeses bread 2 pkg instant pudding
Bag of potatoes 2 bags choc. chips 4 coffee creamers brownies
grapes 3 Kraft bbq sauce 1 Starbucks coffee 2 L. Coke and Fanta
2 frozen California pizza's 4 instant mac and cheese 2 refrig. cookies flour
1 frozen Digorno pizza 2 lunch meat pkgs 5 vitamin waters Velveeta
If anyone wants to learn how to do this and is impressed at the savings let me know! I can give you the password of the free site and if interested have a coupon class too! You will be hooked like me, I promise!

Brad Paisley concert

We went to the Brad Paisley concert at the USANA amphitheater. I've never seen him in concert and have always wanted to. We went with our friends Matt and Brooke to celebrate all of our September birthdays. Country concerts always bring in an interesting bunch of people. It's like the airport where you just watch people and your entertained for hours. It was a fun last night of summer outings. We will definitely go again.

Darius Rucker or "Hootie" from Hootie and the Blowfish opened for Brad Paisley. He's gone country and sounded really good in concert.

Our seats were pretty close to the stage. We were in the middle section and could see him really well. It's not often we buy seats at the USANA, but at the time I bought them they were the same price as the lawn section so WHY NOT! I usually like hanging out on the blanket in the lawn, but being pregnant the seats were much better.

He had a wide variety of guitars which he jammed on!!! He also did some talking between songs, which normally annoys me when artists do that. We came for the music not your opinion on politics! Luckily he did not do that and he could be a comedian if the music ever fails. His jokes were very funny! If you ever listen to his lyrics they are pretty honest and entertaining. One of my favorite country concerts.

He came out in the audience and serenaded the crowd. I wished he would have played my favorite song of his, "When I get where I'm going" with Dolly Parton. But that didn't happen. There's always next time!

Friends Brooke, Matt, Sam, and me sporting my new Paisley football uniform! It got a little chilly and my hubby was the best and let me buy an expensive concert shirt! It was a night to remember!

The Love for Animals

Sienna LOVES animals! I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes a vet. It always amazes me how she can name them all correctly. Even when it comes to ponies vs. horses or a tiger vs. a lion, she can tell the difference. We finally made it to the zoo and also went to a fishing pond in North Ogden with Grandpa Sam and Grandma Cheryl. Its so fun to see how excited she gets when she sees any kind of animal.
I made Sam ride the carousel with her at the zoo. Pretty sure I would have gotten sick from going in circles over and over

Baby Suri and Mama elephant

Always a hit with the giraffes

The zoo does have some amazing ice cream

I love that they added the adult female, juvenile, and infant gorilla to this poster outside the exhibit. Always a fun picture to take.

SO BIG!!!

The fishing pond in North Ogden. She had so much fun feeding the fish and trying to touch them in the water.

The first fish she caught, she wasn't afraid to touch it and throw it in the bucket. But the second fish seemed to scare her and she wanted nothing to do with throwing it in the bucket or getting near it! She decided after that she would rather just throw the food to them and watch them swim in the water.

Goin fishin with my Daddy
We ended up catching five fish and ate the yummy trout for dinner that night! Of course Sienna did not want to eat them and gave us looks the entire time like, "How could you eat the fishies!"

Awesome August

Once again I am combining all our fun summer activities into one post! It has been busy! Hopefully I can get caught up soon! The major milestone we hit was Sam turning 30! Yeah, I finally don't feel quite so old now! Of course he didn't care that he was turning 30. He's more worried about when he turns 38-"because that's when sports athletes are out of their prime". HA! Guys sure think differently huh!
Hanging out with friends at the Dave Matthews concert. I love the lawn seats at the USANA!

We were pretty much in the back! It was the 6th time I've seen Dave Matthews in concert, and no matter where we are sitting, they always sound so good LIVE! Can't wait for the next one!

We entered Sienna into the South Weber Days baby contest again. It's her last year! The theme was 60's Hippies. Of course she won Queen this year!!! Yeah finally! And of course Sam put together the entire outfit from the DI, the party store, and a little sewing help from my mom! She was able to ride in the parade the next week and loved every minute of throwing candy to
everyone! Pics to arrive soon!

Trying to keep her wearing her glasses and headband was a fight in a half! She still looked like the cutest hippie chick anyways!

Getting her crown from the judges and receiving her prize of a beach ball and a diaper bag full of goodies!

The cutest 2 year old hippie I've ever seen!

We went up to our family cabin to celebrate Sam's 30th birthday with some friends!
The shooting range is always a hit!

The girls on the swings! Brandy, Britzie, and me

Hanging by the camp fire-even during the day

I got Sam a new poker table, chips, cups, and Chiefs cards, and personalized Chief jersey for his present. Now they can have Boys poker night in the basement. We played Texas hold em at the cabin and not to brag or anything but I got first out of 8 players! It wasn't rigged! I can just read if my husband is bluffing or not after knowing him for 8 years!

Happy 30th babe!!!

Four wheeling up to Lily Lake

Busy Busy SUMMER

Seems like we have been very busy this Summer! Now that its half way over I thought I would just put a mix of pictures on. Its hard to keep up with a blog lately!
We done lots of backyard swimming with cousins so far

The 4th of July weekend we went to Island Park, Yellowstone, and the Uintah's. Lots of driving in four days, but worth all the fun

Outside the cabin we stayed in Island Park. Sienna loves to pick flowers.

Mammoth Falls inside Yellowstone

We visited a bear and wolf "refuge" outside of Yellowstone. It was a very sad zoo with all the animals sleeping and two little bears. But this bear was the best to see.
Me, Sam, Sienna, cousin Griffin, Alexis and Clint

Hard to stay clean when you are four-wheeling in the massive dirt trails!

Sienna sporting her awesome bike helmet with her cousins

Gotta love smores and the fire time when camping at the cabin in the Uintah's

Saw Eclipse on premiere night at the Megaplex in Ogden. Such a fun girls night out!
Friends-Angie, me, Bobbi, Michelle, Cassie, Michele, Shevon

I am sooo Team Jacob in the movie, BUT Team Edward in the book. Me and Bobbi couldn't get enough of the Cardboard Jacob! The usher had to actually move them away from our group!

Lagoon day with cousin Jackson-It took a while to get Sienna on the rides. She has found fear inside of her, but with the help of Pringles and a lot of distracting while waiting in line, she finally got the hang of it.

Bulgy the Whale

Sam and my dad made 5 shots and got stuffed animals for all the kids! Nice work guys!

For our anniversary we went to Vegas and stayed at the Monte Carlo. We had lots of lounging time at the pool and lots of moths in our room! I hate moths more than any other insect besides spiders. Luckily the housekeeper brought the vacuum to get rid of them! REALLY! I could have done that. Not sure I will ever stay there again!

Instead of seeing a Cirque de Soliel show-not sure I spelled that right-we saw the Jabawokee's. Not sure if I spelled that right either! They are this awesome dance crew that won MTV's "America's next dance crew". They were performing at the MGM and at the last minute we got stand by tickets. We were in the front row, one foot away from the stage! It was so cool! It's an anniversary I will never forget!

Went to a REAL soccer game and stayed for the David Cook concert after! Loved it!

David Cook performing in the rain

Swimming at Cherry Hill-always a favorite of Sienna's

Face painting at the carnival at Cherry Hill. I can't believe she held still that long!!!
