Vegas Anniversary

We went to Vegas for our 5th wedding anniversary last week! We had 3 days of sun and lots of fun! We stayed at the New York New York Casino. It was pretty nice. I like how they have the shops and cafe's all set up there and the dueling piano bar is awesome there.
We saw a few shows and the highlight of our trip was eating at the Eiffel tower restaurant at the Paris. It was so beautiful! It was a 6 course meal and very expensive, but I'm glad we went. It's definitely a one time experience. You can see the Bellagio fountains show every 15 minutes and we arrived at sunset so the view was sooo beautiful. We ate food that you've never heard of or could repeat back to the waiter. Sam was so sweet and got me a beautiful necklace and surprised me with roses. It was awesome to walk around with a dozen roses and get all sorts of looks from other women. After dinner we saw the Cirque de Soilel show called "O". The stage has a huge pool in the middle and the performers do all sorts of tricks and flips in the water. It was cool to watch a big show like that.
The last night we were there we went to the Palms and saw Dane Cook. He was pretty funny, but I was little disappointed. The comedian before him (I forgot his name) had me and Sam crying we were laughing so hard. We saw a few celebrities there. Nelly and two NFL football players. It seems like all the celebrities like to stay there. I guess because it's a little more secluded than the other resorts.
I'm so glad we were able to go and have a nice anniversary. Thank you Grandma Annette for watching Sienna for us. It was an anniversary we will never forget!
Our 1st dessert at the Eiffel Tower restuarant. We had souffle' for the 2nd dessert. I've never had it but it was to die for!

We had 4th row seats for Dane Cook. Ya think I could have gotten a better pic!

Ogden marathon

Sam and I have been running pretty consistently the past 3 months. Some girls from my work were trying to get a relay team together for the wasatch back that is in June. Unfortunately we are on the waiting list, so I'm not sure if we will be in it or not. But it has motivated me and Sam to both get back in shape. So three days before the Ogden marathon, Sam decided to run the half-marathon and they had one spot open for a VIP. It costs $200 but you get gear, a free massage, and a goodie bag. And some of it is tax deductible. The VIP's get their own shuttle, port a potties, and get to keep their gear on the bus. He was a little nervous before it started, but he finished in 2 hours. It was faster than he thought he could do, so he was way excited. I had to work again, so I wasn't even able to be there to cheer him on. But thankfully grandma Annette took some pics for me. THANK YOU!!! I'm going to do the West Haven 5K and the South Weber 5K if the relay doesn't work out. I don't feel ready for the relay, but want to do it so bad! I want to feel that runners high, and not the sore muscles anymore! I'm so proud of my hubby for doing this on such short notice! Your Awesome!
ALMOST to the finish line!

Sam's sister, Alexis ran the 5K. Your awesome too AL! That medal looks huge!

Sienna was able to hang with Dad after the run. They had a lot of booths and food for everyone. Ogden City can do a good job of entertaining for all you haters out there!

Happy Mothers Day!

Hope Everyone had a great mothers day! I had to work until 3 pm, but then we hung out with the both families. We had an awesome bbq at my mom's house followed by a piano recital from all my nieces and nephews. My mom teaches all of them piano. I know Sienna cant wait to take from grandma Pat. She already pounds the keys and gets a huge smile. We then went to Sam's moms house and had some massive banana splits. I LOVE ice cream. Its the devil I tell ya! It was nice to relax and take a moment to think how motherhood has changed our lives. Sienna makes it so much more enjoyable! I love you chunky monkey!
My grandma Jane, my mom and Sienna. I really wanted to get a pic with the four generations of momma's! Sienna is no longer scared of my grandma! Finally!

My grandma Bea. She is doing so well. She hasn't let being sick keep her down! Sienna and I love being able to spend more time with her.

Swinging with all her cousins! She would stay outside all day if I let her! We both love the sun!
