Hot summer combo

Since our summer has been so busy that past month I haven't had time to blog at all! So I decided to combine all our fun activities into one post! It has been a great summer!
Camping with friends at Currant Creek (Lorey, Jen, Bobbi, Laura, Me)
We are such tan babes!

Camping with my family at Lava Hot Springs
(Cousins Madison, Sienna, Morgan, Sydnee)
Thank heaven for otter pops!
Sam and Sienna hanging out at the Olympic pool in Lava hot springs

Kenny Chesney concert-It was so dang hot that day! The concert started at 5:30 and didn't end until 10:45! Awesome show! Loved Lady Antebellum as well as Kenny!
During Kenny's encore he sang songs from the Steve Miller Band, U2, Sublime, and the Eagles. It was so funny to see the three 14 year old girls behind us look at everybody like, "What are these songs and why is he singing them?" Everyone was singing with or without you by U2 so loud! It was so cool!
My friend Jen and me sweating away at the concert
We went to "This is the place" in Salt Lake with my family. This is all Sienna's cousins on my side. 13 grandkids in all! That was also a stinking hot day!!!
My dad with Sienna rocking their sunglasses

My mom with Sienna. Sienna has no patience at all and was freaking out waiting in line for the train ride. I still love this picture though!
Sienna is not afraid of animals and was loving the sheep. She would go right up to them and feed it whatever she could find. She also tried to feed a horse a plastic carrot from the general store they have there! Luckily the horse didn't eat it!

Enjoying my snow cone at the Ogden Raptors baseball game. We only lasted an hour at the game because she doesn't like to sit still at all! I'm glad we only paid 5 dollars for both our seats! They have a playground in the corner of the stadium, but there were a million kids in there so that didn't help us either. Fun thought for a minute!

Playing at the South Ogden splash pad! It's awesome because it is free and has a playground right next to it. She is not afraid of the water spraying her at all!
More swimming at Willard Bay
Playing with her four wheeler on the beach at Willard Bay

One serious look at the zoo! I actually got her to hold still for this one!

4th of July

Our 4th of July was a lot of fun! We went to the Kaysville parade in the morning. Sienna watched the entire thing which was over an hour! The horses were her favorite thing and the beads from the Taco time float. Thankfully we left before they do the big water fight at the end with the fire trucks. We then came home and took a 3 hour nap. That was my favorite part of the day! We also had a bbq at my parents house and then went to the fireworks in Kaysville. Sienna wasn't really interested and just wanted to walk all over the park. I'm so glad they didn't scare her! I'm glad we've been able to enjoy so many things with her. It's so fun to see them learn and start figuring everything out. She is getting too smart already!

Trying to get her to watch fireworks in the back of our truck at the DATC

Those are some big missionaries!

My first 5k!!!

I ran my first ever 5k race on Saturday for the West Haven Days! I've never been able to run a mile without gasping for air, so this was a challenge for me! My goal was to run the entire thing no matter how slow I was. I ran in 33 minutes and only stopped once to re-tie my shorts! I was so proud of myself! Sam also ran it and got 2nd place in his age group. Such a show-off! Sam's sister, Alexis, also ran and got 6th place for her age group. I didn't even look to see what I got! I didn't really want to know! So next comes the 10k for South Weber Days in August, and after that the Las Vegas relay in October with 11 other co-workers/friends! I can't wait! I'm hooked on this running thing!
The only down side to this blog is I totally forgot my camera, so no pictures of me sweating to death! But this picture tells it all, I am so happy I did it and I am so happy it's over!
