First Christmas Fun!!!

We had a lot of fun on Sienna's first Christmas. We got up early at 6 because I had to go into work for 4 hours. Sienna was ready to open all her gifts! Santa spoiled her with lots of toys and clothes. She liked the bows and kindove ripped the paper from the boxes. She was so excited to play with everything. Sam was so tired he ended up opening my mom's gift (Disney scrapbook kit). He was very disappointed. He actually got the Batman movie, CD, a tie organizer, and many clothes. I got gift cards for a massage at aveda spa in Layton, Michael's, and Maurices. We also received Disneyland passes, Omaha steak dinners, and gift certificates for Wendover from all of our parents! We visited all our family that day and had lots of fun. Thanks everyone for making it a Christmas we will never forget!

Sienna and Griffin love the train that goes around Grandma Annette and Grandpa David's Christmas tree.

O-town Lights

We went to the Ogden Christmas lights last week. We met Grandpa David and Grandma Annette there. It was so cold but Sienna was bundled up in her stroller. She had a rosy nose and cheeks after 20 minutes of being outside. I think Sienna had a lot of fun looking at the cute houses they have. I think Ogden has done a great job of decorating downtown with the Christmas lights. There is even a little train you can ride on. Next year we want to go when they have a light parade and turn on the lights for the season. This will be a great Christmas tradition for our little family!

Christmas Concert

On Thursday night we went to the Mo Tab Christmas Concert. My dad has been in the choir for over 10 years and this is his last Christmas concert. It was pretty good and it definitely puts you in the Christmas spirit. My family took up an entire row and I was glad to be sitting next to my grandma Bea. She is such a trooper. I know my dad will miss all the fun stuff he was able to do in the choir. It was always fun to see him on TV even with his funny faces he sometimes pulls when he sings. Your are awesome Dad!

Funny faces

Sienna has been getting quite the personality lately. I love all the faces that she pulls. I'm constantly taking pictures of her and have gotten some good pics of her being a "silly girl". I can't believe she is almost 9 months old. Everyone says they grow up so fast as she has! I'm so excited for this to be her 1st Christmas. We have already gone overboard but she's our 1st and it's her 1st Christmas. What can I say? I love spoiling her already! Love ya sweet girl!

So Thankful!

So... I've been such a slacker this month with blogging. Nothing too interesting to blog about. So... I decided since thanksgiving is this week, I would blog about some things I am thankful for!
I am thankful that I am NOT pregnant at this very moment! I can wait everyone! Sienna will have a sibling soon, I'm just not ready yet!

I am thankful for my loving, patient, and hot husband! Love you babe!

I am thankful for Bibs! They are needed often in my house currently!

I am thankful for the wonderful birth of my beautiful baby girl Sienna Eva! It was only 8 hours of labor and she went easy on me during the pushing. She had the best timing! I worked my last shift before I went on maternity leave, and she appeared the next day. BEAUTIFUL SWEET GIRL!!! I love you so much!

I am thankful for my grandma Bea beating cancer and living everyday to the fullest! She is 84 and doing great! I'm so glad she is a strong woman!

I am thankful for my friends and all the laughter they bring to my life! "That's what she said" will never get old! The office rocks! Thank your Bobbi for getting me started on blogging! It's awesome to share memories with everyone!

I am thankful for sleep! It's so rare and so precious!

I am thankful for the Kansas City Chiefs! Ok they are horrible this year, but football season is the best time of the year. There's always next year...

AND last but not least... I am thankful for our dog Vince. He is an awesome baby entertainer. Very gentle and curious about Sienna. He is the best dog anyone could ask for. Thought everyone could get a good laugh from this picture. He is such a good sport being Dino for Halloween this year! VIN DOG!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

Halloween fun!!!

We had a lot of fun this October with Halloween activities. We carved pumpkins the night before Halloween. Sam is more creative than me. I hate the gooey mess! I had to work all day on Halloween, but Sam took Sienna to see grandparents and cousins before he brought her to my work for trick or treating with the patients. It made the work day a lot more fun! She was got so much attention being pebbles. We hope it was a memorable 1st halloween for her!
I think dad slipped her a little candy!

Pre-Halloween Family Party

My parents are going to San Diego over Halloween so they decided to have an early Halloween party so they could see the grand kids in their costumes. We decided to have a Flintstones theme this year. Sienna is the cutest Pebbles out there! My mom helped me make her costume because for some odd reason they don't have small enough Pebbles costumes for kids under 1. I always thought pebbles was a baby not a toddler! But, anyways we found costumes for us and even for Vince our dog. He pulled off a great dino! He's such a dorky dog but we love him.
We were the only "adults" who dressed up. It was a test for my Wilma costume. It's never a one size fits all. There is some pinning going on so nothing flies out. I really loved Sam's hair! I was laughing so hard at him when we started going over to my parents that I couldn't breathe. It was so out of control! I think they mixed up what Fred's hair looks like compared to an actual cave man! I hope my nieces and nephews know we are the fun aunt and uncle and not the weird ones who dress up for Halloween. They kindove knew who we were but keep asking who Sienna was. I guess Flintstones are not on the cartoon network or any tv anymore?! Anyways, we had yummy soup bowls and played some fun games. Can't wait for the next Halloween party...

The Flintstone Family

Sienna is the center of attention in this cake walk game. She gets so excited around her cousins.

All of the kids dressed up with my two grandma's! They are both doing so well!

Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Uintah's

We went up to my family's cabin last weekend. My two brother's and their families were there too along with my parents. We had a lot of fun four wheeling but the Uintah's were pretty cold for fall weather. There wasn't any snow but we had to stay bundled up.
We only stayed one night and that was enough! I felt bad because Siennna did not sleep well. The cabin only has one bedroom and an upper level with multiple beds. My parents gave us the bedroom but she did not want to sleep in her playpen. You can hear everything that goes on in the cabin. If someone pees or coughs or anything, there is no privacy! I ended up sleeping in the recliner with her because she keep crying. I guess new environment and the fire place didn't stay warm all night.
Luckily the next day she loved the swings that are outside. She couldn't get enough. We ended up driving to mirror lake on Saturday and hiked around the entire path they have around the lake. Sienna also loves being outside whether it's 40 degrees or 90. It was a lot of fun and I was so glad we were able to go!

40th anniversary

Sienna loves grandma and grandpa!

my nieces and nephews candy gram

On Sunday, my family decided to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary. We had them come over to my brothers Brets house for an awesome Chinese dinner. We figure Chinese food is their favorite since they go out for Chinese every Friday night. We then surprised them with a few songs from all my nieces and nephews and a classic photo slide show! The pictures were so fun to see. My parents looked so young at their wedding! My brother also put in pictures of all us kids growing up. The 80's outfits were the worst!

My dad and mom both teared up watching the photos and were so happy we surprised them! The only one missing at the party was my sister Stephanie and her family who lives in San Diego. I know she wishes she could have been here in Utah. We told our parents they have to take us on a cruise for their 50th anniversary now! My dad started laughing! I hope to have as much fun as they did the past 40 years!

The ZOO Jerry!

We decided to take Sienna to the zoo last week. It was such nice weather and Sam had the day off. Sienna liked the train ride, the giraffes, and penguins. She didn't want to stay in her stroller so we ended up carrying her around most the time. She is getting very spoiled! It was fun watching her look at the animals and figure out what was going on.

I decided to let her taste my rootbeer icecream and one lick later she was hooked! She kept grabbing at it and eventually made a mess of my shirt and her face. She is so curious about everything. I love how she just soaks everything in. It was a good first day at the zoo for her!

Good Things UTAH!

My sister Trudy was on Good Things Utah last week as a guest host. I went to see her along with a million of her friends and family. We sat in the audience and cheered for her during the show. I think she won over the channel 4 ladies with her cool bracelets and cookies she gave them. She did a great job! I know I couldn't have been on live TV without messing up some how.
After the show we got to meet them and take picutres. I was hoping Raegan was there because the weekend before, my friend Bobbi and I saw her on the way to the Scrapbook expo in Salt Lake. She was driving behind us but then cruized in front of us and almost got in two wrecks. I told Neisha to tell Raegan how much of a crazy driver she was! It was a lot of fun and am proud that my sister had the guts to be on tv!

Sienna's first baby pageant

We entered Sienna into the South Weber Days baby pageant. It was a 50's style theme. She looked so cute in her poodle skirt. We were first on the stage and I didn't know what the hell I was doing. I didn't see the judges and I stood on the wrong side of the stage. I don't think they got a good look at her because she didn't win princess. But out of her age group, she won "MOST sweet and energetic". She did so well for her first pageant. Mom did not!
