Park City marathon

Sam was in the Park City marathon on Saturday. It was his first marathon and he finished the whole 26.2 miles despite a leg injury. He was determined to finish although he had to walk the last 5 miles because of his knee. I'm so proud of my hubby! We met him at mile marker 20 and had a sign to cheer him on. He said it really helped him want to finish after he saw us because he was ready to give up because of the pain. I can't believe how determined he was! Sam's mom, sister, Sienna, her cousin Griffin, and I were all waiting for him at the finish line and were so excited to see him! I'm so glad he accomplished this personal goal and know the next one will be better for him. Congrats babe! We love you!!!
One proud family

Sam...I can't tell you how absolutely PROUD I am of you!!! I was so worried about you and you FINISHED!!! That is more than a lot of us can say...and you did it with your knee problems. Take a rest and put some ice on that knee!!! I wish we could have stayed to see you cross the finish line, but Devon had his first football game. Congratulations!!! Here is to your next marathon with a good knee.

CONGRATS Sam!! That is amazing, not only with the knee injury but also with the short amount of training you had!!
